My Biopsy Results

My urologist called me today. I DO NOT HAVE PROSTATE CANCER!!!!!!!! He says what I have is asymptomatic prostatitis. My uro believes that is the reason for the elevated PSA. I am so thankful! I am THANKFUL to all of you for your soothing, comforting, encouraging words.

I am so THANKFUL to all of you, for all the things you taught me about prostate cancer. Saying thank you feels like it's not enough, but PLEASE know how grateful I am to all of you who helped me during this scary journey.

I promise to always think of you and those who didn't get the news I did. I promise to educate as many people as possible about prostate cancer. I promise to encourage my friends and family members to get themselves checked. My heart goes out to all of those who reads this.

Just got home late. Your great news made my day, congratulations. So glad you really didn't need to join our club, it's better that way for you. Keep on enjoying your life without fearing PC at this point.

Good news!

 However, continue being vigilant. Keep up with your periodic PSA, and, if the PSA does not drop significantly, you should consider a 3T-mp-mri to make sure that no cancer is hiding in hard-to-reach places.

 In my case, the cancer was out of reach of the standard TRUS biopsy which samples only the peripheral zone; it was hiding in the transition zone. Consequently, it took 13 years and 3 previous negative biopsies to finally find it.
