I'll add these to my signature line, but a few people suggested I post them for conversation.
I've requested the slides be sent to Johns Hopkins for a second opinion, but here's what I received on my 'Patient Portal' system, from my request of Emory Urology:
A. Right Base, Biopsy: Benign Prostatic Glands and Stroma
B. Right Mid, Biopsy: Benign Prostatic Glands and Stroma
C. Right Apex, Biopsy: High Grade Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasm (High Grade PIN)
D. Left Base, Biopsy: Prostate Adenocarcinoma, Gleason 3+3=6. Present in one of two cores (<5%). No perineural invasion present.
E. Left Mid, Biopsy: Prostate Adenocarcinoma Gleason 3+4=7. Present in two of two cores (50% duscontinuous, 50% cores (20%). No perineural invasion present.
F. Left Apex, Biopsy: Prostate Adenocarcinoma, Gleason 3+4=7. Present in two of two cores (50% discontinuous, 50% discontinuous). No perineural invasion present.
Thanks for any comments, suggestions, etc.
Like I've said, I'll probably decide between three or four treatments very soon.
