1. Why is surgery more recommended for younger guys (
< 55)?
I know there's more time for recovery, but is that it? Why would a 48 yr. year old consider it more appropriate over a 62 yr. old, for example?
2. What are the advantages of surgery over brachy, cyberknife, etc.?
Are there other advantages besides knowing pretty soon whether the cancer is spreading, and it's 'out' once the surgery is over? (and I know that's a big advantage).
3. I just can't think of a reason for not trying for a radiation treatment over a surgery.
I want to be cured, first and foremost, like others I'm sure; but how often is the only side effect the inability to ejaculate? That's the only SE I think I can stand... Is there a % on that number? Or am I being unrealistic? Seems something like the pellets would give the best probability for those goals.
Thanks. This site has really helped me so far the past week.
