Being on HT vacation and not doing tests for 4 months, well...out of sight out of mind.

Anyway, It's back to the nerve-wracking round of tests for me. Next Friday, I get a bunch done, including my PSA. My T and PSA started going back up recently. Hopefully the increase isn't too bad next time.

My next trigger points are 2.0, which means I need to arrange to get a C11-Choline scan at Mayo. If we get to 5.0, it means my HT vacation is over! Last reading was 0.04, 4 months ago.

Anyway, it's time to start one of those threads again.

Feel free to add your upcoming tests/results here for this month

I had a great visit with my uro yesterday.   We celebrated the fourth anniversary of my first Eligard shot!   I gave blood and should have my current PSA results today.

Had mine this week - should be a few days and the results. Dr. Moran's office said I can go to six month testing now... jazzed.

Buddy - good result, nice downward trend.

I had my blood pressure checked today. It was good until they reminded me that I need to get my PSA tested this month...

Mel, Congrats, keep it up sounds like you are "healing" well, and that break had you living well too!!
I just started Zytiga 8-1-14, PSA driven down from 5.25 to 1.46 in just 6 weeks.

Just got my October results......another <.10.   The lab included a special note saying "Awesome....superb result".   The blood draw last week was on my four year anniversary of the first shot of Eligard.   How time flies.

It's too early to worry, but I can't help wondering. It's now been 4 1/2 years since my SRT with PSA results of 0.00 on every test but one (there was one 0.01 in 2012 that then returned to 0.00 on the next test). Today I just scored 0.02. I know the number itself is absurdly low. My uro has previously told me he doesn't trust numbers below 0.03, but says he would also probably consider 0.05 a sign of recurrence for me (after having surgery and SRT) so the range for me between 'stand down' and 'lock and load' is very, very narrow. The presence of a number at all after a solid row of 15 or more 0.00s (with one small exception) makes me wonder if the critter has finally found a way to mutate its way around my thus-far great immune system (which previously outwitted a melanoma the size of a quarter but with a pathology report that showed "extensive regression"). Meeting with the uro tomorrow and have an annual followup and another PSA test with my RO in January. I think I'll ask my uro when I see him tomorrow for an interim test in 30 days to see if the 0.02 is a lab anomaly or the beginning of a trend.

I pulled a 0.01 for my PSA this month, a new all time low. Still want a "<" though. Pretty good seeing as i still have a prostate, but with all of the drugs coursing through my veins it's a bit rigged. (Lupron, Zytiga, Provenge, and Chemo ...)

I'm off to my 3rd round of chemotherapy (Docetaxel and Carboplatin) later this afternoon ... that'll mark the halfway point of that treatment. Hoping i can get back to a more normal routine after the new year.

I think I prefer getting my tests done at the urologist's office. When I go there, I get to the appointment an hour early, I give blood, I go for a run, and they have the results by the time I see the doctor.

This time, I had it done by my PCP and it took me 12 days to get the result.

However, the value was <0.09, or undetectable on the equipment they used. That's at 9 months post-op.

I will definitely have a Sazerac tonight to celebrate.

Got my quarterly results today and I am sitting at .021.

It appears my use of Avodart is keeping the beast at bay and I can keep pushing the potential need for SRT further out into the future. Click on the PSA History link in my signature to see my PSA history since surgery in June 2011.

I had my psa test last week. I pulled another <.01 which is as low as this lab goes.

My testosterone however, was lower still...147. Doc wants me to try gels. I am reluctant. I would rather
try to find a natural way to increase my T.

Lastly, I am much better in the ED department, no meds needed. My incontinence is very slight, except during imitate moments (climacteria), so I am scheduled for a sling in December.

I'm getting my results in just under the wire for October ------
I had labs done this morning and I'm waiting to meet with my Urologist.
<0.10 !!!!!!!

Tons of blood work but only one that I worry about. I posted in my own thread but I will do it here as well. < 0.05 4th time in a row. Congrats to all on the low numbers

Sounds like a great month and far less volatility than the stock market!
I have my six month physical tomorrow with my PCP and will get a T test. Hope it is on the way back up now that I am off HT.
