40 months post seed PSA reading

I had a blood test for my upcoming appointment on November 12th with my urologist. My PSA in July was 2.5. My latest reading was 1.1 which is the lowest it's been. Down is good. I almost wonder if the reading is correct, dropping that much in 4 months, but I'll take it. It's been a very slow downward trend.

My rad doctor (Terk) did not seem too concerned at my slow drop, but my urologist was. It will be interesting to see whart he thinks in November.

That's a good drop - congratulations.

My brother did the seeds his first post-op PSA test was a large drop then leveled off.

Don't know why it does it that way but it happens that way.

You URO should like this new number.

Thanks Andrew. I'm not on here too much anymore. Looking at your stats, you are doing well. Nice poem on your blog. Seems like you have a good perspective, are enjoying life, and have a lot of enjoyable things to live for.

Congrats on the nice drop there G6, I've got to believe your URO will be happy with this. I've done a lot of studying on the whole PSA drop after LDR BT and didn't find anything conclusive about rate of drop, etc. Found studies that say a fast drop is not good, that a slow drop is not good. As far as I'm concerned, continued down is good!

Thanks Yoop an Bill. Yeah, who the heck knows. I just like to post results and update my story in my signature, for anyone who might be interest in what I went and am going through.

I heard that D3, or sunlight is good for fighting the spread of cancer. I started taking it. Can't hurt. There have probably been some discussions on it here.

G6, good for you! Your results are great. Even though we bracy guys don't get zeros, your results are good enough for you to buy drinks.

Thanks Jim, Paul and Over. I was surprised and pleased. I hope the downward trend continues...don't we all.

Funny, my last Uro appointment he was concerned, almost doom and gloom, saying that he thought I should have a scan and maybe another biopsy. I told him I would like to wait 6 months and see. It will be interesting to see what he thinks now. My radiologist on the other hand thought everything was fine. He said he sees a lot of slow declines and although it may bounce around a bit, as long as the trend is down he's happy.

Mine has decline slowly since March 2013 implant. At first I was bummed it was not dropping fast but took heart from those who said it takes time and sure enough it was 0.69 last PSA.
