Mr. kukukajoo had a cardiology appointment today and they said there was no lasting damage from his bout of heart failure and no blockages implied by his stress test last week. The heart has repaired itself quite well already. He is still having the arrhythmias and his BP goes way too low at times (and also bad perfusion) BUT he has no current restrictions and can do things as tolerated! He's getting stronger every day and the last couple weeks have been big leaps in what he is able to do and tolerate each day. He isn't sleeping 18 hrs a day every day!
His most recent PSA was done Friday by mistake and the went down a bit further to 0.30!!
He is being able to gradually begin to do more and I see the old Paul finally coming round at times which is so wonderful!
He is finally eating better and has put on a couple pounds!
SO SO nice to have some excellent news (it actually shocked Paul who was waiting for the "but..." to come next). BUT... this was just good news and good news... no bad news anywhere!
Chemo is still out but cardiologist said if it was a last resort then we could talk about
it then. With the Lupron alone working so well we will cross that bridge later.
He still has the abscess/sinus and probably going to need a surgery to
open that- we will know more after repeat CT scan about
the 15th of the month.
He still had bad adhesions, a partial small bowel obstruction, pain and n/v at times as well as some neurological issues that come and go. Still weak and not able to tolerate lots of stuff still but hey one foot in front of the other.
All I know is that I finally dare to start planning for the future again with him. We want to go to California together and I want to go to Europe with him to meet my friends there and see the UK and Wales.
0.30 folks!!

Kristy, what wonderful wonderful news! So glad to hear that Mr. K is heading in the right direction. It's a great feeling to make plans and look forward to the future, isn't it?
You have been a lifesaver for him. He would not have been able to deal with all that he's been through without you at his side advocating for him and loving him.
Thanks for a great start to a beautiful day,
Susan

It's so nice to have good news with no "buts" added......always make plans, don't just stop.....you have to continue having "dreams"....what's life if we don't have "dreams"?
