4 Months post SRT

Not posted for a while, but wanted to get some opinions on issues I still face - should I be concerned, are they related to SRT/ADT?

1) I still have pain when I pee. Some days not too bad, other days - well it is best I use the cubicles rather than the public troughs
2) A rash on my lower legs - started up about a week post SRT, probably a reaction to flea bites, but just wont go
3) Zero libido
4) Low energy - reckon I am at about 75% level as to where I was pre surgery
5) Chest infection - taking a long time to recover. Whereas I would normally start to shake an infection off within 2-3 days, I am now 6 days in to an infection, on antibiotics and still feel like I have been run over by a bus

Had my second post SRT PSA done on Monday, should get the results on Friday, hoping the chest infection will not skew the results

Don't know how much help I can be. I am close to where you are about three months out from SRT. Did not have ADT, however. I had a burning sensation from urinating which lasted about a month after SRT. I thought it might be a stricture but RO said it was too soon for a stricture to form and suggested it was an infection but Uro test ruled it out. It went away, so I don't know what it was. Only other thing I can comment on is the low energy. I still get very tired most days and at times I feel totally drained. It could be from the radiation and possibly some medication I am on could be compounding the matter. Haven't encountered any of the other issues, so it is difficult to offer comment. I get my next PSA in December. Last one was very encouraging and can only hope the same next month. Good luck on your results.

It was a good six months post radiation before I felt I was 100% (or close to it). you could, likely, blame all that on SRT but some are likely not.

The chest infection shouldn't affect the results.

Some specifics come to mind:
1. Likely a gift of the SRT and surgery. If it doesn't get better talk to the doc.
2. You may have reduced ability to fight things like this because of SRT/ADT, but it could be unrelated.
3. Likely ADT - kills that dead.
4. Yup, SRT affects energy during treatments, ADT finishes it off after. Walking regularly could help.
5. Taking longer to heal and recover is just likely due to all the other stuff going on. Keep an eye on that - you don't want it to get out of control.

Hang in there, it isn't easy to go through and hopefully things will start getting better.
Let us know what the test results are.

Got my results <0.05, so that's an undetectable from that lab! Would crack a beer in celebration, but on 2 sets of antibiotics, probably not a good plan.GP is keeping a watchful eye over the chest infection - just signed me off work for another week, and sent me for chest x-rays. I am going to be glowing in the dark soon

Your signature doesn't mention the ADT. Six months? Three? When were your shots?

For the most part Andrew has correctly predicted my answers to your questions. You are far enough out of the radiation that the fatigue should be much improved but the effects of the ADT linger for a much longer time.
