This was the conclusion based on a Phase II trial.
Now, a Phase III trial is in the works to further asses the effectiveness of the drug.
The idea is to eventually have a test, which will identify people who have the AR-7V receptor. Those who have it won't respond to Zytiga and Xtandi, so they would proceed directly to Galeterone (assuming Galeterone is shown to be effective).

Thanks for posting this arthur-qa! Very interesting to me, since Xtandi did nothing for me, and I suspect I may have the AR-V7 variant.

arthur-qa - Another thank you here! Will definitely be looking into this. Next appt 12/12/14 MRI & Bone scans & labs will tell story if taxotare continues to keep PSA & circulating tumor cells down.
