Hi Art.
It appears from your posts that things have been better for you according to the latest information. Glad to see that.
I know that in the past you and I have discussed the pros and cons of penile implants. I know you have had many issues over the years and therefore you may have a lot more experience to provide then I have since I only received my implant in March ‘09.
I realize that some of your experience is relevant to the current improvement surgery and procedures for penile implants. I also believe that some of your experience may only be relevant to those older procedures and technology where the results were more prone to issues, and those issues may not be as relevant.
Just remember that even though you may have had issues in the past, people going through this process today may never have to experience most of the issues that you had to go through over the years. Therefore, it may be difficult for someone trying to make a decision to get an implant today to wade through information that was only relevant to procedures that occurred 20 to 25 years ago. In fact, many of the improvements can be attributed to the advances over the last 5 to 10 years.
I am reminded of some men that experienced PC many years ago they experienced some real issues that may or may not be relevant to those that are looking to get treatment for PC today. Therefore, sometimes they give advice to a newcomer that only serves to feed their fears and make it difficult for them to move forward with getting the current treatments for PC in a timely basis.
Regardless, it is nice to see you are alive and doing better today.
Sincerely,
Ted.
