New.....a bit confused

Staging while an art with a full set of firm rules, remains more so an art, at least that has been my experience. Main thing is that your psa shows very little cancer so HT is doing what it does best. Your husband has probably had cancer for 15 to 20 years already. Now that it is being treated he will have it for 15 to 20 years more, but as you r doc said, Managed. Its not as bad as you think and probably not as good as you would like. Managable is a great term for your husbands situation. How is he doing with side effects from his treatment?

It's not good but not horrible either. As long as the Lupron is working and the side effects are manageable, your good. Looks like the lupron is work, great. We have guys on this site with much high PSA numbers who've been going for 5, 10 years. It's true, it's not curable but there are plenty of treatments to keep the cancer at bay for years.

What should you expect? Lots of trips to the doctor for shots and monitoring. The only real problem is how long will the Lupron work before you need to add other medications. There are others here who could better answer that question.

I'm wonder about the staging too. I would have thought T3 but I am not doctor, just a random guy on the internet.
