Oh and here are the dates with the PSA levels....
6/2011 - 11.75
1/2012 - 10.51
7/2013 - 14.51
4/2014 - 16.6
7/2014 - 17.4
11/2014 - 19
Had a biopsy done in 2/2012 - Negative and another 8/2013 still negative and then the PCA3 Test in 8/2014 which came back with a 5 (negative). PSA just done and at 19 which is why doc wants MRI done now.
Oh, and he had the prostate surgery done to remove part of it since it was so enlarged in 3/2012.
I assumed each PSA except the Nov 2014 one was on the 15th of the month and ran your numbers through
nomograms.mskcc.org/Prostate/PsaDoublingTime.aspxthat calculates PSA Doubling times.
Not surprisingly they were long times since it has been relatively flat, just high
Months
Slope Log (PSA) 0.01
Doubling Time 52.32 months
Velocity 0.19 ng/ml/mo
Years
Slope Log (PSA) 0.16
Doubling Time 4.36 years
Velocity 2.27 ng/ml/yr
Besides UF & Shands in Gainesville, where I am a member of their Metastatic Disease Program, there is a firm called Sand Lake Imaging in Orlando.
I am not personally familiar with them bu Dr. Snuffy Myers who does weekly videos uses them a lot.

virtually any PCA topic of interest to you by paging backwards.
