but yes if PC gets advanced enough, you get pain and you die.
I think that was a bit harsh Andrew. There are guys here with very advanced PC and bone mets but still writing here many years after there dx. Dont scare the poor guy like that, he is new here
Hi CADguy and welcome to Healing Well. Sorry you feel the need to be here, but glad you found us. You will find us a great bunch of guys and girls, willing to help and offer advice wherever we can.
As Andrew has said, if you can share a bit more of your history it will help the more experienced guys here to offer the appropriate advice. How long have you had this pain and where is it? Normally the pain would be in the lower back, pelvic region and hips. It will also be at its worst normally at night giving you restless sleep patterns. With a PSA reading that high you will certainly require a biopsy, but we have one member here who had very advanced PC with a PSA of over 3000 and he is still with us 8 years down the road, so try not to panic just yet. Easy to say I know, but we have all been where you are right now. The waiting is a killer.
Hang in there, the big guns will be along shortly with some good advice.
