Congrats on your decision: you've given it its due diligence and that's all you can do. You'll find that this will lead to a kind of serenity as you go forward. In any event, don't look back and second guess your decision later.

Congrats on making a decision and moving forward. This site has been so critical to me and many others as our journey unfolds. The great thing about this forum is that we have members who have direct experience with each of the solutions available. Their stories allow us a glimpse inside their world. We do a great job educating each other. I personally appreciate all the help I got here during my journey. Once your decision is made, move forward and get on with your life.
Remember, life is a terminal condition, so enjoy YOUR life to the greatest extent possible.

Ricky so true about this site. I can only hope to pay back what I've gotten out of it, even though I'll likely never be as knowledgeable as some of th either members like Tall Allen and others. But hopefully I can coach some newbie into keeping things in perspective better Than I have.

@Francisco, good luck to you, keep posting here, I'll be following your journey with interest and hope. Your English is pretty amazing, by the way.

I've been working on my RO to do the same with radiation, but it's very difficult to keep the dose to the SV low enough, except among the anatomically gifted.

Couldn't focal therapy with HDR, laser, or maybe SBRT do exactly that?

Not everyone is a good candidate for focal therapy.

Pratoman, thanks for directing me to this that you made your decision. I don't know how I missed it as I've waited and followed you through this journey. Are you planning to stay w/ us to document your surgery journey? Praying it all goes wonderfully well for you! I think you've done all you could do to make an informed decision about what's right for you.

Thanks Miki. I will be here for a loonng time. I want to be around after I'm done as well as during the time I go through this, to help others the way I've been helped here by members.

I may take a break, between now and the surgery, because I feel like I need it, and because I plan to drink a lot, and I may not read every thread, but I'll be here for a long time.

Yes, you deserve to take a break and it would probably even be healthy for you. But I do hope you stay since this forum will be richer for sharing your experience and for your sense of humor.

As others have stated, now is the time not to look back or to start second guessing your decision. If surgery is what you decided is best for you, then so be it. It's your body, your cancer, your choice.

You should do well with it, and beyond.

That's the most important part of the process. Most of us tended to calm down immensely after reaching our final primary treatment decision.
