Cialis and I have divorced!

I was beginning to think I was one of the few. I also had terrible lower back and leg pain when taking Cialis. When I told my Uro that I had to quit because of the pain it caused, he looked at me like I was crazy and said "we hardly ever hear of it causing those symptoms". That was the last time I saw this guy (also the surgeon that did my RP), he sent me over to a practitioner specializing in "men's health". I tried it several more times with the same results, so there was no question that it was causing the symptoms. Viagra didn't work either, I couldn't deal with the side effects. Happy now with injections that do the job and cause no other issues.

No patience I have the same problem. Took my first cialis pill 20 mg on Fri november 21. By saturday I felt the most excruciating pain down my back, hips, buttocks, and legs. Both sides. Thought of going to emergency room. Pain subsided gradually until about a week later when there was no pain. Had no idea it had anything to do with Cialis. Took my second 20mg pill on sat dec 6. No severe pain but muscle soreness. Again did not equate it to cialis. Took my 3rd pill on sat dec 13. On sun dec 14 started feeling severe tightness in hamstring to where I could not sit. Woke up mon morning Dec 15 with the worse pain ever from my butt all the way down my saddles and down the back on my right leg. EXCRUCIATING! Since then have been to hell and back daily I have been in bed since. I cannot stand up for more than a minute without my entire rt side from my butt all the way down my leg to be in pain. Almost like a continuous cramp that just won't go away. Went online finally and saw numerous forums abt cialis and back pain. Stayed in bed until Mon Dec 22 when I decided I better go to see Dr since no improvement. Most painful half mile ride in my car i've ever experienced. He told me I was the only patient who has ever told him abt a possible link to cialis. Gave me 2 cortisone shots on my butt and thigh, a precription for prednisone and soma and also a topical anti infalmmatory gel. Still no change. I have read all posts and numerous people talk abt their back pain/leg pain associated with taking cialis but i wonder why no one answers the question that you posed as to HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST?? Anyone?????? Sorry don't mean to be rude but this pain is killing me it has now been 10 days i'm in bed I can't stand up for more than a minute before the pain is unbearable. Seems you are the only one who feels this level of discomfort like me. Is there ANYONE out there who can tell us how long before the pain goes away?? I have not taken any cialis since sat dec 13. I hope someone can be kind enough to share an answer. Thanks!!

All these war stories make my Alprostadil injections seem like a cake walk. :)

Although it is slightly inconvenient at times, not having the SEs like I did on the pills is a bonus. Also, way cheaper...even though the pills were only $35/mo on my insurance plan.

Today is Christmas the 25th I stopped on the10 th so thet makes 15 days . I can stand a little longer during the day but while still in pain . Nights are the worst as I can not sleep. No merry Christmas here

During my ART first weeks the "pain" I encountered was enough that I could not remain perfectly still for the needed 10-12 minutes. I stopped the 5mg per day dose, and the problem resolved in a couple of days. During ART, once the pattern was seen, I took 10mg on Friday night, 5mg on Saturday night, and none the rest of the week.

So the symptoms went away within 24 hours or so. I have not had any issue that actually slowed me down beyond that. I still take 5mg per day, still hoping for magic to happen.

Viagra was much more a problem for me - whole field of vision went to all blue as the main color. Stopped after the second pill on those.

I'm grateful to have stumbled upon this forum topic after having gone through a ridiculously bad night of upper leg pain last night - as well as some back pain. I could feel my heart pounding, and I was actually thinking about whether to call 911, the pain was so bad. I thought it was a heart thing. I was dead tired but just couldn't sleep because I couldn't get comfortable.

For some reason it dawned on me today to google "cialis leg pain" - and my computer screen lit up like a Christmas tree!

cialis.sciatica: do you recall how long it was before your pain finally went away?

P.S. I took the cialis three days ago so it should be wearing off any minute now. Hope the pain goes with it.

Wolfshade It took me a good 2 months and a dose of steroids and narco to get rid of the pain. Also there was a muscle relaxtant I don't remember the name but one thing I will tell you. I wil NEVER EVER EVER EVER take cialis again. Good luck.
