Hi guys,
I've been lurking for quite a while now. After my last hormone shot, I took a cancer break. My psa went from .1 last Feb. to .147 a few days ago. Still have slight stress incontinence. At this point, what do you guys think is the next course of action for me? This may sound stupid but I was actually relieved that the psa had only risen to .147 after almost a year. Also, anyone have a good prostate oncologist in the New Haven, Ct area? At this point, would salvage radiation still offer a realistic chance for a cure? I'm sure many here have experienced the frustration of ultimate failure of all treatments recommended by their doctors. Example, when I asked my radiologist about being more aggressive in treating the entire prostate bed, he felt it was not needed at the time. I now wonder where the cancer is and if reradiating is the best treatment at this point. I work and financially am not able to mess up my work schedule. Everyone's insight here is very much appreciated. I'm off to work so I won't be able to check back till tomorrow. Thanks to everyone.
Mike
