Tonka, sorry you need to be here, but this is a great forum and I'm glad you found us. Your husband is lucky to have you for support. It sounds like he does have a pretty aggressive case there, but there are quite a few treatments available even for advanced cases.
As a fellow G9, I'd like to further welcome you folks to the G9 Crew, the least popular chapter of this club no one wants to join. This thread is meant as a gathering place and a reference, with stories of others facing this diagnosis, treatment plans, and how they're doing. You'll find quite a few there, and most doing pretty well. There are a number of people you may want to correspond with. Here's a link to it:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=35&m=3182035&g=3182504#m3182504Our own Todd1963, while not a G9, had something like a 3200 PSA when diagnosed 9 years ago. He's still here and as of right now has an undetectable PSA! There is hope, there are options, but you may need to push the doctors for some of the more advanced options.
Best of luck. Stay with us, ask, whine, complain, celebrate, whatever you need. We're here for you!
