My father has been on every treatment available in his 15 year journey with PC. The final was a 2ND failure of taxotere. His PSA is at 71. A MRI of brain showed all clear. A body scan will be done soon to see if progression can be found. He has been radiated several times for tumors of the bone all the way up to his lower neck. Curious if anyone is or has been in this spot? He is still active but showing signs of weakening and mental slips. Any thoughts and ideas welcome.

Hi preacher,
My husband Gary has just completed ten RTs to sacrum. His psa was 50 in Dec and doubled just prior to his RT. He gets follow up psa next week, but the medonc says he has nothing novel to try. I am looking at clinical trials. There is also a drug used to treat diabetes that is listed in another thread yesterday. He is still feeling pretty good overall, but the high psa is concerning, yes?
I hope you and I can get some more treatment options soon.

Sorry to hear you are at this point also. We have searched clinical trials finding little for this phase of progression. Prayers your way! Hang in there!

Google Dr Myers, arbitrate, metformin. Neither Gary or your Dad have had this combo. I'm looking into this option and going to ask medonc about it. Also new vaccine clinical trial for DRibbles (dreadful name for PCa drug nono )
