Finally heard back from the VA, I guess for them, this was fast.
Now have 3 separate MRI's scheduled on the same day, March 3rd. One in the cheek/jawbone, one full brain w and w/o contrast, and one full frontal skull w and w/o contrasts. Going to be a long day in Columbia, as they are scheduled back to back, starting at 10 AM, and its 125 mile drive to hospital. We may go down the evening before and spend the night.
Having more pain and headaches and pressure behind the right eye in question. Place in cheek, I would estimate, is at least 3x to 4x bigger than when I first discovered it. It extends from just below the edge of my lip, follows my lower face, and stops just shy of the top of my neck. Feels as thick as say 4 thicknesses of uncooked spaghetti.
Weight after leveling off for a few weeks, is on the go again, have lost 3.5 lbs. since Sunday night.
Valentines Day is special for us. 41 years ago, at a deserted beach in Gulfport, FL, I proposed to my lovely barely 18 year old wife to be. Can't hardly remember much of what I said, etc. What I remember was seeing a dead shark on the beach near us, being fascinated by that. Funny how the mind works years and years later. Had flowers delivered to her nursing station at work. This morning when she woke up (I had to be at a court hearing at 8, which is super early for me), she found a card, candy, and the traditional Valentine stuff monkey waiting by her coffee maker. I do have extra brownie points, if any of you could use some, lol. Never have forgotten a Valentine's Day, Anniversary, or Birthday in those 41 years, must be doing something right.
Can't wait to have these scans done, and pray they will show something they can treat or at least dx. properly. But hoping neither sites are going to be new cancer(s) to deal with.
