Cialis / Viagra Question

Are the ED drugs just for ED rehab or do they provide healing benefits to the general prostate area too?

If you are almost fully functional without the ED drugs would there be any reason to take them?

Graytech asks an interesting question, I never thought of it. Increase in blood flow to the area, I would think, WOULD assist healing. So wouldn't that be a reason to take the drugs?

Good question. I don't have an answer to it but I do know folks take them for reasons other than ED.

For example, athletes take them to increase their performance. Brandon Marshall once reported that members of the Chicago Bears took them pre game. I also read of female competitive skiers taking 25 mg of Viagra, because they believed it would increase their performance (breathing? Increased blood flow through the lungs?) at high altitude.

He took them because the Bears had a problem playing "hard" this season.

The most popular ED drugs came from research on heart / blood pressure treatments.

I've been on daily Cialis for 5 years, in hope that the little guy will wake up. But in those moments of promise, the Lupron snuffs out any possibility of enjoyment. But I'm still taking them.

I do play the sample game with all my doctors, and pile all the refills into the time after my deductible is met (this year it will be March).

But now I've found new meds that are more expensive than Cialis, so I can complain about something new.

I have Halbert, and my experience is mine are legit. but am sure some are not.

Halbert, I just got my prescription filled with generic tadacip. It's so cheap this way it's not worth dealing with insurance. A year's worth of the daily dose is about $200. I'm starting to use it the same way 142 does.

Remember - NO discussion of off-shore pharmacies / mail order, as they generally are in violation of US law, therefore violate the rule against discussion of illegal activities. There are very few that are legal, and they will require a prescription. We can talk about those.

If you want to share those sites, do it by private email, please.

I am in Canada, just wondering if some people could email me with some options for Viagra that may be less expensive than the prescription brand but reliable.

I did not read every post on this subject...so my comment may have been covered already...

However, in my case, I already had prescription for VIAGRA prior to surgery....Upon time to try sex, I tried several times to see what it would do for me. ( hopefully it would help my ED ). But, it did absolutely nothing as far as I could tell.

And so , why continue to take it if it's not enhancing blood flow ?
How many others might have had this experience ? And, certainly comment from others who disagree with my take.....

I'm just this month 2 years...and now that you mention it, I've noticed an occasional half-mast....

The only noticeable thing I've experienced from the VIAGRA has been some flushing & the next morning headache..

But tell me, I started using a VED, and I do a (just) practice most times just out of the shower...then for real about weekly...
Wouldn't that be the same as popping the VIAGRA ??

All the same I've been testing the V. about once a month...

I originally posted the question because I was having moderate SE's after the first 5mg dose of Cialis. Rapid heartbeat, shaky hands, BP went through the roof. I'm thinking why take it, I feel like crap, if I don't really need it.

Based on your posts I followed up with the uro nurse and yes they would like me to continue taking 5mg Cialis daily (for at least 3 months) even if I'm achieving erections without medication. The increased blood flow is important to keep tissues healthy which does help to speed recovery.

I should also be doing 'exercises' periodically sufficient to achieve an erection. Now that I'm 6 weeks post surgery the exercises can also result in a climax if desired. She then asked jokingly, is there such a thing as too many erections or ones that are too rigid after surgery?? Got me there.

She gave me two options. 1> Try Viagra or Levitra instead of Cialis I may tolerate them better or 2> Cut all caffeine and ease into the Cialis by taking 1/2 dose for several days, then 3/4 for a few more working my way up to the full 5mg. I chose option #2 and it worked. I'm now able to take 5mg daily and don't have any SE's from it. I have even added back one cup of regular coffee. I'm also enjoying a much firmer result than I did without the meds.

So at least from this doctor's office daily Cialis may have benefits and should be continued to speed recovery if you can tolerate it. After all it can't hurt even if it isn't absolutely necessary. (except your wallet of course)
