How good will erection be with injections

But...actually I was just thinking of you today. Maybe I missed it but did you ever get a final pathology after your surgery?

Did you get a scrip for the medicine? The way it usually works is the doctor provides a prescription and sets up an appointment to come back later for instructions on how the drugs are administered. There are a number of possibilities for which drug you will be given.

The "approved, on-label drug" for treating ED with injections is Alprostadil. It comes in pre-loaded syringes, often under the brand-name Caverject. It works well but some giuys find that the pure Alprostadil gives them an ache.

Another option (and it seems more widely used among our members) is a cocktail of off-label drugs called trimix. Trimix also contains Alprostadil, but at a reduced dose and mixed with two other drugs that have been found to offer a synergistic effect. Trimix is less likely to cause an ache and costs less but you have to go to special "compounding" pharmacies to get it.

Either of these options, after a bit of tinkering to find the right dose, should give you an erection pretty much like your best efforts just before surgery. The exact details vary from guy to guy but the success rates are excellent. Be sure to follow the instructions you are given and don't fret if your results are less-than-expected for the first couple of jabs. Men are nervous the first few times which may suppress their response, and since the dose needed varies from one man to the next doctors tend to be conservative with initial dosing and work their way up (esp. w/ trimix).

They should work great, but some caution. I rushed the whole thing because I had a beautiful finance I didn't want to disappoint to long. That was a mistake.

1) Make sure whoever helps you with the mixture and injections knows exactly what they are doing.

2) I used the trimix 25 times with great success and on the 26th time my penis bent in half and stayed that way to this day. I don't know if that is what caused it but it did happen. So make sure your Dr. or nurse knows what they doing.

3) Make sure you discuss the risks of Peyronies with your Dr. and see what he says. Many Dr. have many different thoughts. Most experts say that injections don't cause Peyronies but I personally think different and so do many others who have used it.

I was in a rush--- I would give anything not to have the Peyronies it's worse then the ED because even if you can manage an erection your like a freak at the circus.

Go ahead and try it , but please make sure you fully, fully understand what your doing with it.

 

Had my consult with ED nurse yesterday and now have my trimix. my first injection was small only 4 units. I did feel some firmness and will increase my next dosage up to see what happens. She suggested that I only increase it about 1 or 2 units at a time. Hopefully I will be able to work my way up to a usable erection soon.

Well, you have your meds and will soon know for yourself as you increase the dosage. Your results can be anything from a blue throbber for 4+ hours with a trip to the ER, to not much at all. Most guys seem to be pretty good. For me, they said start with .2 ml, I started with .05 ml. Worked it up to about .4 ml I think is my max. It was all about the same though, just a bit less than what is needed. What do they say, a 6 on a scale of 10 is the minimum needed for penetration? Well, then I get 4s and 5s. Close but no cigar. It does aches for an hour or two though. But not as bad as it used to. I tried up to 1 ml of Bimix(started with .5 ml), zero aches, and zero to one on the erection scale.

Hopefully, you will do much better than I have! Most seem to.

First, of course, this is a question for your doctor. But, that out of the way, you might think about going by percentages, not a fixed increment. After you have tried a given dose twice and found it insufficient you might consider going up by 20 percent (rounding to whole units). 20 percent of 7 units (rounded) is one unit, but 20 percent of 8 units rounds to two.
