I posted a few days ago that the gym I belong to is owned by the local Hospital Medical Systems and they have a lab in the building where you can SELF order blood tests. PSA is $10 and Testosterone is $20.
I plan to have tests done there monthly while I am on my HT break (last Lupron shot was November 6th), just so I can monitor things as I have always done. My Onco is going to have me tested every three months. I am also going to find out what the analysis/testing nomenclature is for both systems.
Yesterday I gave blood for the tests so that I could establish a baseline for this lab.
MY PSA CAME BACK AT 5.24 AND TESTOSTERONE AT 12.
January my Onco had my PSA at 8.2 and Testosterone at <10, February the NIH had my PSA at 7.02.
I know the whole thing about
different labs and all, but today I am celebrating and really happy where things are.

Wampuscats, great news on your end as well. Yes, I am still registered in the two trials at NIH and will go back up there in May after my GFMPH trip. I look forward to having drinks with you in Baton Rouge.
Guys, thank you all for your continued support. It is not often that I have been able to relish in "good" news during this now 5.5 year journey of mine. Having you all to share it with makes it all the better.
Thanks,
Sonny

Wow -- those are great numbers. $10 a pop for a PSA check? That's fantastic; and so convenient.
Looking forward to seeing you and Sherry in BR next month
Best -- Jon

Jazz, thanks man, but I am really sorry that we won't get to see you in Baton
Rouge. Maybe in September?
Tiger, yep see you in Baton Rouge, it can't get here fast enough. In fact Sherry and I are leaving here April 2nd to head that way. We have a little pre-GFMPH camping trip planned with JamesC, the Worryworts, Cajun Jeff and Startech.
