trimix ache solutions?

DH got his shot of trimix at the ED docs on Friday.

He told the ED doc beforehand that Muse had given him a bad ache (and didn't work). And about 10 minutes after the shot was administered he told ED doc that the ache was bad this time too, and the doc told him next time to take tylenol ahead of time.

DH says the injection didn't hurt. And he had a tiny bit of response which lasted 20 or so minutes, however the ache was very painful and lasted all day.

I had hoped doc would suggest bimix or quad mix, but he ordered trimix and it is being shipped tomorrow.

Is tylenol likely to prevent the ache? will the ache become less over time?

guys, what is your experience with the ache? any suggestions?

For me, the ache was greatly reduced with time; however, I have heard of some guys having such bad pain that they just could not endure. Bimix may be the way to go. You might have to make the suggestion (demand?) to your uro.

I think the ache does either get better over time or maybe one just gets used to it. I had a pretty annoying ache the first four or five times I injected but after that I noticed it less and less.

If the ache persists when he is getting near the end of his first vial he should talk to his doctor about bimix.

I considered - ache vs benefit. Benefit won. I was trained to sit in a hole in a swamp with insects and snakes around without making a sound, lest I be found.

The benefit of a happy lady friend is at least that important now, so I pretend the ache isn't there, or in jest accuse her of trying to break it off (literally).

I don't know if it gets better, but I like the side effects enough to deal with it.

But yes, bimix eliminates the ingredient that causes pain for most.

The ache is endured, if and only if, there is crumpet! (Couldn't think of another word).

142, I will ask him tonight if he would prefer the shot, or to sit in a hole with insects and snakes without making a sound. PSA3DOT7, If he chooses the snakes, I will add the crumpet to the shot side of the equation! :)

I do have the ache every so often, but it is always bearable. Once I got the amount of the injection down to where it worked, the ache was not as bad any longer.

Hope it gets better.

The ache for me was much more at the start of using Trimix. As time went along I adjusted the dose trying to use as little as possible and still have an adequate response. Been doing this for a year now and hardly ever get any pain, and if I do it is minor compared to the rewards. Good luck and keep at it.

It really sounds like BiMix is going to be the solution for you guys.

Good info about the ache...
In my experience, the pain was relative to the amount injected...
Since it sounds as if his response to the shot was minimal, I'd be more concerned about that....
