There are numerous threads and comments about leakage. I'm 5-1/2 weeks since surgery, and I leak some. I use 2-3 depends "shields" (thin pads) a day, and am dry at night. Others are not so fortunate.
Bottom line is, there is NO treatment that is without risk of side effects. This is why you'll hear the following ideas repeated, over and over:
1. Do your research. Talk to true experts in each of the treatment modes. This means go to a major medical/research facility. This means be willing to take the time and push for consultations with experts who have done hundreds (at a minimum) if not thousands of procedures.
2. Don't let yourself be railroaded into a treatment by anyone. It's your decision, and make sure you're truly OK with it. (see point 1)
3. Accept the fact that there is no one "right" answer. There is YOUR right answer, and once made, no one in here will try to argue you out of it.
4. Take a reasonable about of time to decide. With PC, you don't have to decide tomorrow, or even next month. Let your rational brain take over from your reptilian brain.
Last, hang around, read the sticky threads, follow the links in people's sig files. You'll be ok, no matter what happens.
