Time is getting short the list of things to get done are moving very slow. Concrete Pad for the Motor Home has not been done. Menu is set. Going this weekend to get supplies and drinks.

Getting very nervous and excited at the same time.

Can't wait to see everyone!

First member to arrive will be on Easter Sunday. MMMMM Who could that be? LOL

Two weeks from today and GFMPH will be in full swing. Sonny will be arriving Sunday to help with getting everything ready. Everyday after work I have had hunt do thing to do. We are getting close. Very excited. Can't wait to see all of you.

We have several new guys attending that I have never met. Always nice meeting new faces.

Not too late if you decide to get to Baton Rouge Louisiana for Cajun food and fun.

I know we all thank you at the end after we eat and run, but seriously thanks to you and mama Pat in advance, and thanks to all the host couples that make this GFMPH event so gala and fun for the PCa guys and their partners.

This will be our first in Baton Rouge having attended two in Rochester and one in Florida. Can't wait. I know we'll never catch some of you guys pushing double digits in number attnded but we plan to never miss one since we have so much fun.

If I am not mistaken this is the 11 gathering and I have made 10 of them. The only person that has attended more than Sonny, Goodlife and Myself would be Worriedguy.

We just cant help it. Too much fun to not be at the gatherings.

Wish we could be there, but it's just not going to work this time. We are, however, planning on Rochester in the fall. Looking forward to it.

Jeff, you are correct, I have also been to all of the gatherings but the first one. I was in Detroit recovering from my surgery the weekend of the first one in September 2009.

You are also correct that these things are too much fun and too life altering to ever think about missing one.

The coach is almost packed and we will be leaving early Sunday morning. That is unless I can talk Sherry into leaving Saturday night right after the Kentucky basketball game. LOL

Cajun Jeff, I filed the tax exempt document somewhere, but I can't find it. I can't remember if it was you or Worried Guy that had emailed it to me, but one of you please send it again. I have the meat ordered, and it should be delivered to you on the Tuesday or Wednesday before GFMPH.

Paul and I are very excited!! He got a haircut- a big deal since he was going to wait until chemo started again (which we don't know when that will happen now).

Is there a contact list somewhere so we will have someone to call when we arrive? Also both just got new numbers again (Tried to port service to Sprint and that didn't work so well!).

Also, shall we send money ahead as I am certain you already buying supplies, etc....

Any thing we should be bringing at all?

And what happened to the painting session- is that still on?

I can't wait to meet every one!

Speaking of GFMPH--I understand it's snowing in Rochester this evening (Sunday, April 5). I'm sure it's NOT snowing in Baton Rouge. tongue

I have to send my regrets ... we moved to Boston earlier this year and I just started working again ... going to take a bit before the 'GFMPH travel fund' is replenished! My best wishes to all who arrive and enjoy your hospitality.

Officially tomorrow is 1 week till the gathering! We were 4 couples here this afternoon .

We are headed camping tomorrow back on Sunday.

For the past week or so, we have been using the plastic cups Mr & Mrs Worry Wart provide at each GFMPH to get into the proper frame of mind.

I'm taking a break from getting ready for the gathering. Have been hitting it hard trying to get everything ready. Yesterday Sonny, James C, and the Worry Worts joined us for a camping trip to chill out before the big event.

Weather does not look great for the gathering but all will be fine.

This time four days from now I should be a third of the way through my 450 mile road trip.

This will be my fourth Baton Rouge gathering.

Ray- Rochester is an easy drive from Beantown even if you can't make this one.

I wanted to have a pedicure, get my hair cut, and pack and all that but spent the day making a killer spreadsheet of out of pocket medical expenses.

Oh well, when Paul gets the oil changed tomorrow he can clean the car out, too- shucks I didn't get to that!!! ;)

Paul found us the most awesome folding chairs to bring with us, can't wait to try them out sitting next to you all enjoying the company!

Paul's palliative care doc is coming tomorrow so he will be all set with meds and all before we leave. He stopped taking one of the cardiac meds and feels a ton better. Was causing orthostatic hypotension and massive dizzy spells every time he tried to do much of anything up and about. So I am hoping he has good energy! I am going to ask him to trial him on Adderall, I hope he agrees!

Even rainy weather cannot stop us from having a great time. Looks like the real heavy thunderstorms are on Tuesday. So glad you campers have those big rigs rather than tents.

We are still making final touches for GFMPH. Tomorrow I am expecting 22 people here. Rain or shine we will make this a great event. The fridge is filling up. You better get here hungry.
