There was a discussion in here a couple of months ago about eye issues following RALP...maybe someone can find the link? I know that my anesthesiologist asked whether I had glaucoma during the pre-surgery appointment. I didn't understand why until later. In some hospitals, it's protocol for the anesthesiologist to monitor intraocular pressure during the period you're in the reverse trendelenburg position, and if glaucoma is present, they actually stop the surgery, level the patient and wait for things to settle back to normal. For the record, I've noticed just in the last week or so that my vision has definitely changed for the worse. Not floaters, but it's time for an eye exam and new glasses. Yay.
