I think a lot of people with new implants experience the "can't get comfortable" issue. Until the swelling goes down you might benefit by getting some support type jockey under ware. From discussions on the FrankTalk, implant discussion forum, guys were talking about wearing either the jockey pouch briefs, or compression shorts or an athletic supporter. I tried all three and ended up liking the Jockey Pouch with H front closure. I found that the pain from standing awhile was a lot less. I got use to those shorts and still use them. The unfortunate thing some of us have good deal of pain and the isn't much you can do but wait and maybe occupy your mind with finding shorts or something. I never before took the oxy they give you after various surgery's but again from comments on FrankTalk I took the oxy beginning day one weather I thought I needed it or not. They say that if you wait till the pain gets a foothold the oxy is a lot less effective or it just might be slow to tale effect, I don't know , but given the fact that I got the Implant as well as the artificial sphincter all at once, like Peter did, I wasn't going to be hardheaded about not taking the pain pills. So shorts, pain pills, time is all I got. For me it took over a week till I could even get an idea which area was hurting. Anyway I things will improve and by one month you will be worried about your boys getting use to their new neighbor like Peter said. At that point you know you are getting better. I didn't feel like I was ready to use try it until around 4 months.
