Completed Surgery last week and am doing very well. I get the Cath out tomorrow. Which I am looking forward to. I know many here will disagree with my choice. But it is the best choice for me. I will keep you up to date on my progress.

Chaplain, at this point it's not about agreement or disagreement with your choice. It's really about hoping and praying that you have a speedy recovery, cure and minimal side effects. Please keep us informed, ask any questions and best wishes.

Welcome to the other side. Nobody here would ever disagree with your treatment choice no matter what it is. The only thing one might disagree with would be rushing into a treatment choice without doing due dilligence. Even that, though, would be something you have a right to choose .

Best of luck on a speedy recovery. Once the catheter comes out you will be amazed at just how speedy

I tell people that they will remember the day their cath came out better than the day their first child was born. Take it easy and let yourself heal.

Tomorrow is a big milestone, getting the cath removed is a piece of cake, feels like when they pulled the drain tube, nothing to be nervous about. Bring some depends and be patient with regaining continence.

You will start feeling more and more like yourself as the weeks pass, the worst is behind you.

Cath is out as of last Wed. I am doing pretty good Only go through 3 pads a day. I am able to control my bladder about half a day then I guess the muscles get tired. I have a area on my right side that hurts. It started right after surgery when I sneezed. It still bothers me some but other than that I am well

After my surgery between the leaking and the pain sneezes were an adventure. It got better with time. You will too I'm sure. Good luck and keep us posted.

Sounds like you are doing great, soon three pads will be two... Stay patient with your recovery, drink water, walk, do kegals and rest. Listen to your body.

May Divine Mercy stay with you in your recovery. Welcome to this side. My 18 month PSA is next month, can't wait!
