Halbert, There is an ongoing debate about doing radiation early or waiting until the PSA has begun to rise in men with high risk features, given the potential toxicities involved with radiation treatment.
On the pathology report, the Gleason score was listed as 4+3=7 with a tertiary grade 5 and also listed was the Index Carcinoma Score : 4+5=9. I haven't seen this Index Carcinoma Score spoken about here, I believe that it refers to the most clinically significant cancer focus found.
