I have been using Alprostadil injections for about 9 months. Initially it would take 15 to 20 minutes to get a useable erection sometimes longer. However just recently I have been getting better erections and they only take a few minutes. I can inject in the bedroom and be almost ready by the time I get to the bedroom. Has anyone else had a similar response? I was wondering whether the injections are having an overall effect on ED recovery. I will be 4 years since surgery in December.

The short story is I'm now 21.5 mos. post RP and am not getting usable erections. I had bilateral nerve sparing surgery, have not had many opportunities to "use" my non-usable erections, and needless to say, it's getting old to be in this position at 54.

I could not use trimix until one year post-surgery because of a bad experience (long story), and have not gone past 20 units (again, long story), but nothing rock hard. Getting some more trimix this week and I'll go up to 25, but almost always have pain injecting so I've only done it a handful of times. ED specialist wants to see me in a few mos. and assess whether a penile implant is recommended. I'm going to shoot up as much as I can stand it until then.

Anybody have good news about two years out? Thanks.

Mate, do you mean you get erections but not sufficient staying power. What about using a "ring" or a "ring" and Trimix; or a "ring" and Pde5i (my option at the moment)

I've got days when I'm hard but it last a few minutes. I've staked PDE5i and Trimix (0.1cc very little) and that helped.

I'm not keen on a pump. It did give me a hardon, but I was more concerned with the urine left in the pump.

Those rings are absolutely medieval! Tried those once and only once. Pump does not give me full erection. Trying to get to correct trimix dosage, but at 20 units, only semi-erect.

I see you started using the Viberect at about 13 months. I also see you had your 1st usable erection at about 13 months. Are those two things related, or just a coincidence? Regardless, what do you think of the viberect?

I just ordered the Viberect as well. I read a lot in both directions about it's viability. The older posts sort of made fun ( back in 2011). Current was very positive. Theory makes a lot of sense. I watched a couple of scientific presentations.
I am going to try it. Can't hurt. If it helps get me erect I think it would more useful that a vacuum pump. I am interested in anyone who has experience with this.

Apologies for missing your post. My first useable erection was not related to the viberect. However, the viberect is a very good addition to the range of methods for Ed therapy. It is good in itself but it is also good therapy or weakening up the nerves. I find visual stimulation is needed in order to get an orgasm using it.

Franco, Not sure what issues are with injecting, but you may want to considering Automatic self injector, it FDA approved and called (of course) Inject-Erect. It's available from University Pharmacy in San Diego. I used one in the beginning, now I just use the syringe but it might help you
