PSA four years out from getting seeds

I have decided not to see my urologist or radiologist unless my PSA goes up. I just don't need to incur the expense to be told that all is well. I will get my PSA checked at my annual physical and maybe once more during the year. If it starts going up, then I will go back to the urologist. That being said, I had my family doctor order a blood test and it came back at 1.0 Down, but not much, from the 1.1 PSA of my last reading. It's not going up, so I am pleased. I'm just about four years out from getting seeds at this point and I am happy with the results and my life. Not much has changed from my life before I found out I had cancer. I don't get much juice when I have an orgasm, and I miss that, but other than that, I can't complain.

G6: I try to follow all BT journeys with great interest and anticipation. I have almost felt your bounces and now your minimal downward trend.
My last two were .36 and .33, hardly worth writing home about but down, nevertheless.

Congrats on your downward journey and may they keep going that way, even if they are small changes. Keep us posted.

Thanks for your support. This site has been a great help to me through my journey. It's a wonderful group of people. My journey has been an easy one compared to some of the members. Never the less, it's a hit in the gut when you hear the "C" word, and I appreciate all the support and information that I have received over the years. I wish you all well in your journeys.

G6 thanks for another positive update, congrats on that! Still going down and not up is good as you know. Hell, you might be settling in at your own Nadir. The only input I would suggest is to always go to the same testing lab for your PSA - there's measurement bias between test equipment, even if the exact same manufacturer and model number are used - so in my own case I prefer to keep that out of the discussion!

Great report and great news for your treatment !!!

My uro's office wanted me to see the Dr. everytime I did a PSA test...I told them no, no...I understand more about what is going on with me then they do...I don't need my uro unless I see a change in my PSA that sounds an alarm....

Also, I have found that hydrating your body well with water starting the day before your PSA will give you more accurate and consistant PSA test results...your body hydration level will effect your PSA number especially when it is very small.
