Six Months since surgery

In just over a week, I'll be at 6 months since RALP, and two weeks from tomorrow is my 6 month blood draw and doctor visit.

Today, it really has been (mostly) a bump in the road. I feel good. I'm able to do pretty much whatever I want to do. Yeah, I have the situation where the time lag between "I need to get to the bathroom soon" and "I need to Go.Right.Now" is about 15 minutes, as opposed to the hour or so I potentially had pre-surgery.

ED is a non-issue. Things in that area work as well as I need them to.

And yet, I'll admit it. I'm getting anxious about the blood draw. They'll do the draw at the URO office, and I'll have the result before I leave. I'm wondering what the actual visit will entail? A brief chat with the NP, maybe fill out the urinary function questionnaire? I know that the odds are that I'll be at zero, and they'll tell me to come back in 3 months.

Everything looks positive Halbert. I reckon your on a roll and the results will be good.
I've always considered your PC experience and stats to be similar to mine, so I'm counting on you.

Halbert - like Greg - i feel like we are walking down the same road. Always have been.
No doubt we will continue on the same path, and it will lead to the land of Oz, or some other happy place. It will be all good, and yeah, of course your nervous about the PSA, everybody here was , is and always will be. Its part of the new normal.

Ahhhhh, the land of Oz, a beautiful place to be sure Pratoman. Once both of you get those great results in your next tests, you should come for a visit. I'm thinking of taking early retirement and heading off to explore it more fully.
Keep us up to date with what's happening Halbert.

My first 3 monthly is also 7 weeks away however the Uro wants to a few precautionary blood tests this week because of the blood in my urine as posted previously.

Thanks for the update, Halbert. Has it been 6 months already? Time flies, whether you're having fun or not. Doubtless you'll be a zero. You've been a wonderful member of this forum, so we hope you stick around after the zeroes start accumulating.

Great report, Halbert, even with the PSA anxiety. I'm sure all will be well. I just passed 6 months and my URO and I agreed that at 9 months we are just going to exchange emails, unless there is some issue. Best of luck.

Good luck, Hal. I did a 36 week blood test last Wednesday (collaborate with my MD to schedule them periodically, last was at 22 weeks). Felt that anxiety. Part of our lives now for as long as our luck holds - our new normal. Whatever the outcome we know we've boundless support and advice here. Here's wishing you a "<".

I am the Principal of a very small school situated in a fairly remote place in Northern NSW and we have only Aboriginal students in the school. I have been here 7 years now and it is an interesting place. I am non Aboriginal. Dreamtime stories, sacred ground, Bundgalung tribe Aboriginal language dialect, Aboriginal art. Its all here. Unfortunately so is disease, as there was an asbestos mine here many years ago and the people are still suffering and will suffer fom mesothelioma for many years in the future.

Anyway, if you are down this way, give us a yell and I can suggest the best places to visit.

I'm still aimimg to climb Mt Kilamanjaro in Tanzania in October next year so I'm hoping all the PSA tests are good.
