Hey all, been trolling on here for a few months since my prostate cancer diagnosis. My radical prostatectomy was July 29, just 4 days after my 53rd birthday. I just wanted to register so I could tell you just how awesome it is having a forum like this.
This surgery was not my first surgery. I had an accident as a welder. Steel fell on me.
I broke my back and neck in 6 places, both my arms and my left leg. Had 26 operations with 46 pieces of Titanium.
This procedure has been harder on me recovery wise than most of the previous ones but I think age may be a factor.
Everything has been pretty much textbook on this procedure. Today my son, who is on leave from the Navy for this operation, took me to town to help me shake the cabin fever. I was in and out of his truck quite a bit and at the end of it I was weak and dizzy.
For the first time in the 2 weeks since the surgery I noticed a small amount of blood in my urine at the beginning of the stream. More the next time I went then before I went to bed there was much much more.
I am guessing it was just me getting in and out of the truck today and after reading posts on here I am thinking it is just that.
I will give updates as I progress and thanks for all the info.
