Carol - Regarding working. Yes it's a big part of life and there are definite benefits to keep Steves mind busy active and feel like he's contributing. It's hard enough on someone to leave their job when they aren't ready but to have to leave because he doesn't feel well enough to continue is very difficult. Yes, it will be a sad day.
And you will be concerned about
what will he do, how will he spend his time and what effect this will have on his health. Sigh, I wish there were some great answer I can give you but everything I can think of sounds trite and simplistic. It goes without saying, you'll do what you can to lift his spirits and let him know he's important to you or you wouldn't be here. What you said in an earlier post really spoke to me:
"If you are the husband please just live as good as you can for as long as you can. If you are the wife be the best do not feel guilt do not think about
what could or can't be done just do what you can."
I will try to live by that and you do the same. You're a great wife, Carol.
Susan
