On my way to Lake Sands Imaging in a bit to try to find what's causing rise in PSA. The battle continues!

Well then are you saying you were staged originally at pT3a with no seminal vesicle invasion at the time of your surgery and pathology report?
If so I will list you as a pT3a.

I was classified a T3a. I guess, so far, I have been fortunate to have a slow growing cancer, despite the poor pathology. I have also had a good surgeon and radiation oncologist, who hit the positive margins left from surgery pretty accurately. I sure hate the worry before each test result comes back, though.

Gee Northfoot, thats a great outcome for a G9 pT3A, and all done without HT.

You are the poster boy of the group.

I hope I get a similar results.

I saw Dr. Kathleen Cooney. I believe she heads up the Advanced Prostate Cancer group at U of M. You can only get in to see her if you have Advanced PCa. Unfortunately for me, I now qualify for that.

Big Mac...Last summer we went to Worried guys for the Rochester event in September (2014). Then we went to Cajun Jeff's for the Baton Rouge event (2015)just this last spring.

I guess I will meet you at Sonny's next spring, I can't make Jeff's this year either. I am a Civil War buff and I have plans to spend sometime in Gettysburg right after the NY GFMPH.

Awesome effort, Big Mac and Micah! This club will help us t3's in many ways...You just can't get the whole picture from the doc's. I face my six month psa check on Tuesday and am hoping to stay in the zero club. Thanks for the extra effort to create the club!

The Florida GFMPH will be at Sonny's in 2016. He has begun to alternate with Jeff in LA. Last year it was held in March. I am hoping he has it again in March. He lives near the coast just north of Cocoa right off I-95

I am bumping this thread to the first page so the guys can continue to talk that need to.

Also, anyone who would like to join our little club within the forum, just let us know who you are and your stats Ex. pT3A or B, Gleason #, etc.

Anytime anyone would like to add to the thread, just look back to find it, add your comment, ask questions or just ask for support like Bob did on the other thread and it will bump it to the top of the first page for others to see. We are here to help and support each other. Most of us are waiting for the other shoe to drop and that is what this thread is all about.

Good luck Bob! You had your surgery the same month I was diagnosed so I am right behind you and following your lead.

These threads start to choke the system when they reach about 10 pages. Short of that, don't worry about it. You can keep it all in one thread.

Sometimes it's good for individuals to launch another thread for their own situation, but then we should also update the big thread so people find that info when doing google searches, or forum searches.

We in the pT3 club have higher risk of relapse than those more fortunate peers with pT1 or pT2 stage and hence we often suffer more from anxiety for our PSA tests. I certainly do the week before I get the result. Maybe we can help each other by sharing how we individually manage our PSA anxiety. Please share how you are managing the PSA anxiety.

Great topic!

I am not real religious but I am a recovering alcoholic and I live by the Serinity Prayer. You know, accept the things I can't change and change the things I can.

It helps me not to get too worked up just before a PSA test because whatever my PSA is going to be, it already IS now. I need to accept what it is and deal with the consequences. It is totally out of my control so why worry about something I can't change. If it becomes 0.2 then I know I need to do a retest to confirm it stays there. If it does stay there, time to see an RO. Now the worrying will begin because I am more scared of radiation than of surgery. Ex. Purgatory's situation

Remember this, "Worrying is like riding a rocking horse, it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere".

I was surprised to feel a bit of anxiety the week before my recent 18 month test. And sure enough, I had become detectable at .01. I miss my < sign! Any way, I deal with it in the only way I know how: prayer, not just for a low number, but for acceptance of whatever is sent my way. Guess I can't say more than that, would probably break a rule. Hopefully I have not already done so.

Also I plan ways that I might be able to catch that horse and chase his sorry ass back into the barn where he belongs.
