StevenH we will add you to the list. I will be in contact with you about the events that usually take place on Saturday. Saturday is normally the most event filled day of the gathering.

Dewayne, you Halbert and I were diagnosed and treated around the same time, we are going to be there, I hope you can make it. Would be great to meet you.

Guys like you, Adjust and SteelGuy have a story that is very compelling and an inspiration to us all, especially fellow G9's who were dealt tough hands but nowhere nearly as tough as yours. So seeing in person how well you guys are doing is always refreshing.

Dewayne, I see my brothers have provided you with some info and the links that best describe GFMPH.

I tried to send you an email, but you don't have one listed. If you want some more info about this specific gathering, shoot me an email, mine is listed, just click on my name. I will be happy to send you the hotel info where we have a tax-free reduced rate and the address where the event will take place. I will also be able to answer any of your questions.

Sure hope you decide to join us. As many others have said, it is a life changing experience as we walk this crappy journey called Pca.

Tickets bought, motel reserved, rental car arranged. We're excited to be coming. We'll be up for any excursions planned for Friday. See you all in just over 2 weeks!

Unless someone is planning on doing side excursions to see relatives, sight see outside of Thursday morning's planned activity, etc, it is not necessary for each attendee to rent a car.

Several of us are driving and can provide transportation to an from airport and to and from hotel. For the most part, rental cars just sit of host's property all day long for 3-4 days except when parked in hotel parking lot.

So just let Sonny know and he will parcel out the taxi duty.

Steve & I are driving up on Fri from the Cleveland area. We can do a stop at either Buffalo or Rochester airport to pick up travelers. I think we'll be driving the Subaru Outback, so would easily have room for 2. If we bring the truck, we'd have room for 3.

Thanks for that Nomar, Sonny mentioned that to me and I planned on taking him up on it but then thought, I'm getting in Early Thursday and might want to, take advantage of what I think would be peak fall foliage up there, so maybe find some good photo ops, before heading over to WGs place.
Still thinking about it though . Also have an early flight out Sunday morning.

We're due in at 4:10 Thursday afternoon. We're going to rent a car because we're planning on at least one side visit to our daughter sometime during the weekend. However, anyone who will be in the airport around then is welcome to share a ride to the Motel and then over to WG's.

Just booked our room this morning. They told me I was past the deadline but that it was "no problem". (Guess I missed that deadline thing...) We are staying Fri & Sat nite.

I am sorry to say at this time it doesn't look like I will make it over...there is entirely too much going on to not spend the weekend at home getting things ready for winter..my SX weeks of recovery this summer has made everything off kilter, and adding yet Nother kid off to college 1300 miles away from home just added to the mix, and my best helper is now in FL, LOL. I will try to find a way to stop over one of the days if time permits, but at this point even though I am only three hours away just too much on my plate to commit...maybe a future GFMPH meetings will be thinking of you all thanks, safe travels.

Paul, really sorry that you can't make the trip over, but we totally understand.

Suz, I am glad to see that you guys were able to make the reservations. I really look forward to meeting you both. Maybe Steve having a chance to meet and talk with so many of us that have traveled down the Pca road will give him some clarity on this whole thing.

Dang guys, I just wait to leave Florida and head for the north. We are leaving here in six days, next Sunday.

Hi, All! Well, after clearing many hurdles and making tons of arrangements to get our ducks in a row, Steve & I are FINALLY committed to attending the gathering in Rochester!!! At the end of next week....YIKES and YIPPEE! I am SO happy things worked out for us to spend time with our most excellent friends. And how thrilled I am to meet our new ones! It's like the excitement I used to feel on the first day of school...catching up with old friends and making new ones! See y'all sweet selves there. smilewinkgrin

Rochester NY weather for next week looks AWESOME. No rain in the current forecast, p. cloudy highs in the mid-70's. A bit cooler for Saturday. Heading out from home Thursday morning to Indianapolis, change planes in Charlotte (bizarre) and arrive ROC about 4 PM.
