So, my first follow up since my RPP is tomorrow and I'm curious... My post surgery pathology report was T3B with positive margins and positive svi.

I got my blood tested today and PSA is at .02 vs presurgery PSA of 4.5.

I'll find out soon enough, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar results and was radiation recommended?

Age 51

April, 2015 PSA 4.5 discovered at routine physical
May 2015 Biopsy 5/12 cores positive, Gleason 3 + 4
July 2, 2015 Radical Robotic Prostatectomy
Surgery results - T3B with SVI and positive surgical margins
July 14, 2015 Cath removed.
October 7, 2015 PSA .02

0.03 is the number that pretty well predicts a biochemical recurrence when there is adverse pathology like yours, so you're pretty close. How is the healing process coming along? Continence coming back? Erections? They usually want to wait 3-6 months for some healing.

you are well under the normal .10 reading of being "clear". with your stats, that .02 should be encouraging. I wouldn't be worrying about needing radiation at this point.

continence is great(no pads since week 8). Erections are improving(used Cialis the first six weeks). I feel like I've been very fortunate with the physical side effects.

Dugalf, you're barely 3 months since surgery, so your PSA might still be going down. As of now, I don't see them doing anything besides telling you to come back in 3 months for another blood draw. They will most likely monitor for a while before they pull a trigger.

I have a situation similar to yours: pT3b with pos. margins and SVs. Your Gleason is more favorable than my G8. I started my adj IMRT 8 weeks post RALP and have my last treatment Friday.

too early to recommend radiation. Chill and enjoy life. There's a good chance you've just beaten this PC thing.

Well, he hasn't beaten the PC. He, as do I, has positive margins. I would think he will need adjuvant RT. Better to have this conversation with his doctor sooner than later.
