I attended this webinar and glad I did. Not too many times do you get to ask specific questions and have them answer them on the spot...

good info. and they recorded it if anyone is interested.

At one part the Dr. mentioned that IHT isn't for Gleason 9s....oops

It was so hard to hear the Doctor, even after the mod asked him to speak up...the graphs seemed to show that it was not for advanced cases.

I think there was a study that showed longer time-to-progression for GS8-10 on cADT compared to iADT. But if I recall correctly, it was a small subgroup analysis that did not reach statistical significance. I think a low nadir, and the ability of T to come back off-cycle are overriding considerations, but every patient has to decide for himself.

I think maybe you are confusing the terms "advanced" and "high risk" as it applies to PC. They are different. "High risk" applies to men like your husband who have no observable nodal or metastases, but have high Gleason score (8-10) or PSA>20 or stage T3a. "Advanced" is reserved for men who have observed local spread, nodal metastases, or distant metastases - it, and IADT, does not apply to your husband. I know the terminology gets confusing, and it's difficult sorting out what does apply and what doesn't.

I'm sorry I missed the webinar as this is an important topic for us. Any way we can access the charts or get a reference to the study that was mentioned?
Bill has bone mets but very slow growing so fits into this category.
