I don't have any experience in the Cincinnati area, but you are close to Cleveland Clinic. Additionally, Mayo Clinic has a leading edge urologic oncologist named Eugene Kwon, MD who is doing great work finding tumors early and then spot treating them. Several men on this forum have had positive experiences with each institute.
You should have some excellent choices in the Cincy area as well. I suggest you look for medical oncologists that do a lot of PCa work. You can contact an UsToo chapter in the area to see if any members have references for you. The Cincinnati chapter meets the second and last Wednesday of the month at The Wellness Community, 4918 Cooper Road in Blue Ash. The contact person is Tom Young, email is
[email protected], phone is 513-509-5040.
As has been stated, HT is normally the next step. But, if you can find the tumors, it may be possible to radiate them and be curative. If you start HT and it successfully shrinks them, then they are hard to find and radiate until or unless they come back indicating the HT has stopped working. Deciding the next step can be difficult and that is why you need an MO that does this every day with men in your husband's situation.
Best wishes
