To share hope
To calm fear
To share the journey
To give comfort
To encourage the next step
To acknowledge the pain
To morn the passing
To cry with the survivor

To help just one soul is all I ask.

Your posts are always refreshing. They are there so to do as you have said. They are not patronizing or self serving as many have become. You are not combative or a bully.

Andrew, besides being a darn nice poem, I think this really gets to the point of why you're such a good contributor. You are one of a handful of people here that really understand how to hit the "sweet spot" in your posts--comforting, informative, but not wandering off into the weeds. Sometimes, I read what I've written and then asked myself "Why can't I be more like In The Shop"?

I often post to hold up a mirror for newcomers with many of the little-known facts about "prostate cancer" and the big picture of PC care in the current era so that they can get a clearer look at themselves surrounded by reality. I think most appreciate the unclouded view.

This forum (and many of you) was here when I came in freaking out. If I want this forum to be here for the next freaking out newbie, then I need to be here for him (or his partner). All I have to share is my experience and what I've gleaned from various sources of information. All I can talk about is my experience and how it worked for me.
