At the very least, try and get better pain management. I unfortunately have experience with severe long term pain ( 3 years ). Although it was not related to my 2 cancers, it was managed poorly too until I started to scare doctors and nurses that I was worried I going to lose control and hurt someone ..... only then they got the message and helped me !

I know you guys mean well about the MM aspect. Not saying it couldn't help, might even be a great thing. However, I live in a very backward state where the entire subject is against the law, even medical use. And, secondly, I can't and won't go that path for personal reasons that date back nearly 45 years ago.

Mal, you mean well, but you know how I feel, regardless of my own problems, I do not like to compare them to anyone else's. We each have our own "thorns in the side" or crosses to bear in this world. While there are plenty of people doing way better than me, there's an equally large number of those in way worse straights than I deal with.

Appreciate all the comments and concern toward my current plight. I see my surgeon on Wednesday about the stomach-possible new obstruction issues, and a long session with my oncologist on Thursday. Still waiting for the appointment to be set with the kidney specialist, that hasn't happened yet, and same with the new dermatologist that I am suppose to be seeing.

Meanwhile, life goes on. Another day in paradise (?)

I think of you often. I'm sorry you have not yet been able to get any relief, I had a lot of hope for your recent surgery. I wish I had something helpful to do or say. I'm praying for you.
