Great Christmas present! I received my colon cancer pathology report and I am stage IIA. The surgeon had been preparing me for the possibility or even likelihood of stage 3. So, this is great news! She removed 20 lymph nodes and none had cancer in them. Yahoo! There are still a few high risk aspects to the pathology report so doing chemo is still an
open question. She will be setting up an oncologist meeting to discuss the pros and cons.I will eventually make that decision. But for now, I want to celebrate this news.

Congrats for the good news and I continue to admire how you're handling being dealt the cancer card a second time. (There really should only be one cancer card in a deck, but I guess they're like jokers and you can get a second one.)
Merry Christmas and speedy recovery to you!

Fantastic news. It is amazing how quickly you moved from diagnosis to surgery. I admire your tenacity to attach your issues.

I came home from the hospital this afternoon, after four nights. Passing gas and having a bowel movement were the big milestones I had to achieve. I passed gas and had a bowel after 3 days - yahoo!
I am still on on 2 oxycodone every 3 hours. I am allowed to take up to 3 every 3 hours. Three makes me incredibly loopy. I tried 1 per hour and I was miserable with pain. So, I am going with 2 pills every 3 hours and hope to dial that way back, preferably to OTC meds, over the next few days. This seems to offer some degree of consistent comfort.
I feel as if I am somewhat back to the future on incontinence. The surgeon had a urologist install ureteral stents for safety. The stents were removed before surgery was completed. I was told the urologist also did some dilation. I was dribbling pretty good right after the catheter was removed on Wednesday. It seems to now be improving quickly.
I apologize for any typos. I tried to catch them but I am drugged up a bit. Some typos must have slipped through.

It's good that you're home. Now you just need to heal up. I'm sure you'll be a lot more comfortable in a few days.
By the way, I didn't spot any typos. Ya done good. I'm pretty sure all the great writers write on oxycodone.
