I enjoy getting older .... especially when I consider the alternative.....Enjoy the new you.
Prato - in so many ways, I could have written the original post in this thread. Except, I have not had RP surgery, nor have I had any cardio diagnosis and just a month ago had a great report on my echocardiogram.
I always looked younger, people sincerely would think I was younger, etc.
However, around 60 or so that quit happening. Then a few years later I noticed people responding to me a bit differently. And so on. Even so, I ride my bicycle 25 or 30 miles at a time. Feel great, feel slower, am not quite as sharp. I don't go on the roof hardly at all anymore, and sold the dirt bike (motorcycle) because I just don't have the balance I used to.
Hey, we're not 50 anymore! We are now bonafide members of the old farts club ( I will be 70 this year.)
And when you go to your fifty year high school reunion, realize that roughly 25% of the class is gone, and in 12 or so more years another 25% will go, then 6 years another 25%.
Enjoy these years, enjoy your family, enjoy your life.
I think that part of my joy of life comes from the fact that I am semi-retired and have partners that do the heavy lifting. Without my partners, I would be fully retired.
It's a great time to be alive!
