February Tests

Figured I'd get the thread started....
Big couple of weeks for me coming up..

Feb 1st having bone scan and ct scan redone....
Then the 8th will be PSA test and get results of scans....going to be an anxious 10 days for me coming up.

Dont fret, dont worry, keep the faith and it is going to be allright. We are right here with you brother, hoping for a clean scan and lower PSA. Saw your video with that singer, very uplifting , great job. I enjoy very much reading your blog

Feb 17: 12 month since surgery. Feb 29: exam and blood draw. Going to have another non-detectable, I've already decided.

I'm right there with Dan. You are due some good news and I am also going to be praying and pulling for you that the scans shows you are kicking this beast's arse!

Thanks for the kind words of support. THIS, is why I'm still here, the support of brothers and sisters that are not bitter, but supportive... Here is to a month of nothing but great results. I want this thread to have 6-7 pages of nothing but good news. Nothing but zeroes, negative biopsy, PSA doubling down, dry pants and hard Johnsons.....

Great news. Always love hearing about those zeros.

You are another one on those "too young for this crap" success stories that inspire hope. When I first joined HW, I saw your G 9 and pathology report , and then successive zeros, and I said, "Yes, there is hope."

Just a great thread so far, congrats all.And let's hope it continues through the month.

Great to see good friends and all posting good numbers ...

This month is a big test for me ... I came off of Lupron last August (I'm not calling it a 'vacation'), and we're getting to see how the treatments have done ...

Pretty d@mm well it seems ... PSA is essentially stable for two months (I still have a walnut), with T going up 50% over 3 months. I'll take it!

Nov PSA = 0.25 T=137
Dec PSA = 0.40
Feb PSA = 0.45 T=172

So... Some good news and not good news...

CT Scan came back as basically clear. All the PCa in lungs is gone. Cancer in the lymph system is gone with just one or two nodes slightly enlarged

Bone scan...not as good, but not bad. Small improvement, but no advancement. Doctor seemed to think based on markers that it's better, and healing, that the scan just hasn't "caught up"...

PSA....not so good. It was at 10.2 6 weeks ago, 13.7 3 weeks ago and 15.7 today. So the rise slowed, but still a rise. We are testing again in 6 weeks and will go with a plan from there.

I was thrilled with the scan news and I'm confident we will reverse the PSA rise. 😀

I see some encouraging and hopeful news, from your latest scans --- you've got some resolution of mets in the lymph nodes ... PLUS full resolution of mets in your lungs --- answer to some prayers of mine, for your sake !

My take-away message from your update: "Your treatments have been been HELPING you!"

We know we're all in the battle together --- we've all got some challenges ahead --- but you've definitely got some celebratory PROGRESS showing from your scans !

Keep looking forward, keep charging ahead, & keep setting your sights on the future, just as you have been !

Looks like you have some great doctors. Those tests could have been a lot worse. Your young and strong. You're going to beat it.
