Brachytherapy – 5 years on

Wonderful news!!
Jeff's numbers have been an amazing example of PSA bounce.
My physician told me that guys that "bounce" with slow nadirs have excellent outcomes!!

I hope this is not too personal a question, and you don't have to answer, but has he said anything about a significant decrease in semen after sex? Did it improve back normal or close too? To me that's a side effect and you didn't mention that is why I'm asking.

That's my only SE now. Sometimes there's more volume, but often it's just a few drops and still doesn't feel as good as pre PCa. It's still great, but still different at the end.

To Dewayne. No, don’t mind you asking at all and yes, so sorry, I should have said two lasting side effects!!! We are so used to the significantly reduced semen that we no longer think about it, it is the new normal to us. Semen volume hasn’t increased over the 5 years since treatment, still the same as in that at times there is more than at other times, sometimes nothing at all.

That is fantastic news - the number of long term success stories is growing! We are 10 years out from Brachytherapy and doing great - celebrate the success Susan!

Also to Dewayne - we are on the complete opposite end of the semen spectrum- absolutely no change in output - don't know if that's a positive or a negative - the "wet spot" still exists for us LOL

Hey Dewayne,
I have same issues and although very grateful for what I have after going through all these treatments. I just assumed these were normal SEs. I also have some issues with insufficient firmness in my erections and figured that in time that may improve.
