Hoping there are fellow sufferers of prostatitis out there that read or use this forum and apologize if this is not the correct forum to post in.

I'm a 36 year old male with no prostate history in my family be it PC or even prostatitis. 4 months ago I was hit for the second time in my 30s with prostatitis but this time it has not gone away. I started with seeing my GP and was prescribed antibiotics several times and even had a PSA ordered which was a little high at 1.4. That was back in December. I have had some weeks where it hasn't been bad but other times like the last few weeks where I have terrible lower back pain and slight pain after urinating. Seems worse if I sit for too long and the lower back pain can linger into the evening which concerns me.

I saw a urologist for the first time and my DRE was very painful but he said it felt boggy which I have no idea what that means but he confirmed prostatitis and prescribed me flomax. I have been on that for 2 weeks but not sure it helps. Advil seems to help a bit for my back but the flomax I am not sure is worth continuing to to take? Anyways I just wanted to see if any other prostatitis sufferers out there had symptoms for months on end and any that get or got lower back pain and how they managed that pain. I assume for now I am clear of PC but all of this is very taxing on me right now mentally. Any advise? Thank you in advance

I am taking flomax at this time to stop the frequent urination problem. It seems to be working. I have had prostatitis since 1973. Back in the 70's I used to go in once a month for a prostate massage which really was not much fun. Today they give you pills. Did they give you any thing for your kidneys? My last PSA was 10.5 but I was negative on the Biopsy for PCA in 2015, but in 2014 I tested positive for PCA. All I can say on any of this is you have to keep good records and track your progress.

Nothing for kidneys my back pain is bade of spine and worse when I sit. Given advil for that. No blood in urine and only slight pain after urinating.

How is you blood sugar? Are you over weight?

Not over weight and blood tests all normal including sugar

Several years back I slipped and fell I thought that I had hurt my back but all the xrays I had where negative. Last year I went to a chiropractor he straightend out my spine and did some electrical sock treatments and my problems went away as far as the back pain when sitting.
