PCa attacks the very core of maleness. I've been on hormone therapy for 3 years, just finishing it up. Hormone therapy. It's also called "chemical castration". Holy carp, really? I didn't have any idea this was an actual treatment for PCa. Nobody talks about it much in any public forum. Who would? A male's sexual life, for most guys, is a pretty big part of our identity, at least in our own minds. One of my coworkers, when I told him 3 years ago I was embarking on HT, laughed AT me and said, "You're going to grow boobs!". Nice supportive comment. We didn't talk about it much after that. (Oh, and I didn't...)
Try to find the joy in other aspects of life. It's easy to focus on the bad things, and natural to do it periodically. Dwelling on them is counterproductive, but can be hard to avoid.
I'm celebrating every day, but in its own way. My physical life is quite different from what it was pre-PCa. But I'm here, and I'm doing my best to make the most of each day. Every day we're walking this planet is a gift!
