Ok, so today marks 7 weeks since my RALP surgery. I'm going to say that things are going really well. I've been back at work for several weeks now, and I'm finding my energy is doing pretty well. I still get tired an hour or so after lunch, but aren't having any major issues. I'm keeping careful with what I do physically, and try not to get into too much exertion.
I've slept better than I have for a long time the last 3-4 nights, and am fully continent overnight for up to 6 hours. Daytimes, I'm basically using 1 Depends "shield" a day, and it's a little damp at the end of the day, most days. I'm feeling the occasional drip at random times, but nothing major.
Tomorrow, I'm going to call and make my 3 month post-surgery appointment for checkup and PSA draw. My supposition is that this appointment will be a 5 minute "how's it going" chat. My answer: couldn't be better.
Oh, my wife and I are doing just fine in our private moments. No drugs required. It's never been better.
So, to all you guys who are scared to death of surgery...it can, and frequently does, turn out very well.
Wow, that is one incredible report, congrats! If my results at 7 weeks- or 26 weeks- were 1/2 that good, or at 1 year + in the bedroom dept- I would probably be a much bigger surgery fan than I am! Whoohoo! Good for you, Bro!
