3-1/2 year post LDR Brachytherapy results for the new guys

Just got back from my 3-1/2 year follow up post LDR BT. Things continue to go extremely well, normal in fact. PSA is 0.06.

I decided to do this post and aim it at the newly diagnosed, and as part of that encourage them to take their time, learn about the beast, and make a well-informed decision on what treatment approach they go with.

Yoop, that's a great report! I am really, really happy for you.

Thanks for posting your video. I'm sure it WILL be helpful to some newly diagnosed men who are exploring their options.

Yoop, so glad to hear that all is still going well for you and that you are happy with Dr. Moran's procedure. My PSA is still at 0.1 and holding. Bad thing is that I am now considered a "serial cancer" guy.
Had soft tissue sarcoma, prostate, skin, renal and just diagnosed with bladder cancer. Heading down to the Danville, Ilinois VA hospital soon for a TRUBT to do some "bladder scraping". Going to hit 80 years of age this coming Winter so keeping my fingers crossed. Yoop, I firmly believe that you and I did pick the right choice of Brachytherapy (for ourselves).. Keep the faith!!

To add for the new guys deciding on treatment, I am now over five years out from brachytherapy and continue to pull zeros.

Thanks jym, I did that one primarily to help the newly DX'd to slow down and be informed.

Yoop, congrats.i remember how helpful you were to me when I first got here, and I'll be forever in your debt. 3 1/2 years cancer free couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
