Got the catheter out about two weeks ago with no problems. Minimal leakage for a week or so. Used pads and diapers more as a precaution but they are no longer necessary. Switched to briefs for a little added support and I'm still a bit sensitive. All in all I'm doing great after the cryo-ablation (4/29/16) and just waiting to check out my next PSA reading in the next month or so.

Great that you're recovering so well. Hopefully, that will be the end of it. How does he interpret PSA after salvage cryo? Based on his experience, is there a nadir he expects to achieve, and how quickly? Does he still define biochemical failure as nadir+2? Will there be a f/u biopsy of the ablated areas?

We expect the PSA to fall to negligible in the coming months and a possible biopsy in one year depending on progress. PSA checks every 3 months for the next two years then every 6 months. Didn't discuss specifics regarding biochemical failure but I'll be in contact with Dr. Onik on a regular basis.
