Update...since last posting had round antibotics, began diet change .. A lot of greens something I never had much of , tomatoes, tomatoe juice, pomegranate juice, fruits, no beef, some chicken, some fish about 2 x's a week, supplements, relatively aggressive exercise program, weights, walking, jogging ,ect. Lost about 18 pounds off original 220 weight.
March PSA 5.4, June PSA 4.0.. Seems good..
Main urinary symptom still 3-4 times a night...getting up.
Thinking about 3t MRI...nothing evasive ....appt July 6th..comments?
Yep, sounds good! Did you ever get that DRE? If you are up often at night, there is a good chance you have a significantly enlarged prostate. This per se has no relationship to cancer, and is very common in aging men, but can for sure raise your PSA. Of course, having an enlarged prostate certainly does not mean you do not also have PC. Just look at my case. But, it can certainly - and often does - account for all of your elevated PSA. You need more than a PSA to know. But it is certainly promising that your PSA has dropped about
20%. Just keep an eye on it. It would be good if you had a DRE to go with the PSA.
